RTÉ sees 300% increase in mobile penetration. RTÉ websites currently attract about 4.5 million unique visitors per month. These users clock up 135 million page impressions monthly, almost half of which are from mobile devices, up from 15% in 2010. This is testament to the high – speed proliferation and growing popularity of mobile devices.
As a result RTÉ today announced the launch of a new division, RTÉ Digital which will be responsible for leading RTÉ’s overall digital strategy.
A central part of this strategy is to ensure RTÉ’s content is available wherever and whenever the audience requires, it said.
